Your level of folate is essential to the formation of the Neural Tube. Folic acid has been scientifically proven to reduce the incidence of Neural Tube Defect (NTD) and related Spina Bifida. Doctors and governments around the world recommend that women planning pregnancy increase their intake of folic acid at least two months prior to conception. Folic acid supplementation is recommended and has its greatest efficacy through the first trimester; during the second and third trimester lower levels of folate are required. PregmaPlus+ Stage 1, with its elevated levels of folic acid, equals or exceeds the level of folic acid of other leading brands’ pregnancy supplement tablets and well exceeds liquid maternity formulas.
Iron
Iron is critical in the formation of red blood cells, which help carry oxygen through your body. During pregnancy your blood volume increases due to the growth of your placenta and foetus, and many women find they suffer from an iron deficiency. Eating iron-rich foods as part of a balanced diet will help, but many women find they need additional support to prevent iron deficiencies. PregmaPlus+ Stage 1 includes a low constipation iron which equals or exceeds the level of iron of other leading brands’ pregnancy supplement tablets, and well exceeds liquid maternity formulas.
Iodine
Iodine is a critical nutrient for the normal development of your baby’s brain. Your iodine requirement increases significantly during pregnancy. PregmaPlus+ Stage 1, includes the highest level of iodine allowed in food and equals or exceeds the level of iodine as other leading brands’ pregnancy supplement tablets, and well exceeds liquid maternity formulas.
Calcium
Calcium is an essential mineral which keeps your blood and muscles moving and helps your nerves send messages from your brain to the rest of your body. Calcium also builds bones and teeth. Your body doesn’t make its own calcium, we only absorb it from food as part of a healthy diet. When you are pregnant your body actually takes calcium from your own bones or teeth to give it to your foetus. This is why you require an increase in calcium during your pregnancy journey. Some women find their lifestyle makes it hard to increase their calcium intake and need a calcium supplement during pregnancy. PregmaPlus+ Stage 1 helps support your requirement for increased levels of calcium in your first trimester and uniquely has the most calcium of all leading maternal supplements.
Active Morning Sickness Relief
Up to 80 per cent of women will experience morning sickness during their first trimester. Morning sickness is thought to result from changes in your hormone levels and can cause nausea and vomiting. By the end of your first trimester, most women have passed through the morning sickness period, ith approximately only 20 per cent continuing into the second trimester. PregmaPlus+ Stage 1 has been formulated to include active morning sickness relief – now that’s a relief! Studies have shown natural ginger and increased levels of vitamin B6 can reduce how often and how strongly you may get morning sickness. These ingredients can also help relieve nausea and vomiting. Stage 1, is the only pregnancy supplement with active morning sickness relief included in its scientific formulation reducing the need to buy additional secondary supplements.
When do I take my PregmaPlus+ Stage 1?
Twice a day. Most women generally take their first easy glass in the morning and their second at afternoon tea or dinner time. In order to give your body time to build its nutritional levels, it’s recommended to start taking your soluble supplement between one to two months prior to conception.

I bought this to try because I have a hard time swallowing tablets. So far it’s worked for me and quite happy to continue to purchase it. The only thing I don’t like much is the taste on its own, but when I blend a banana or a couple of teaspoons of Milo with it, it helps a lot with making it a tasty breakfast drink.

Excellent alternative to tablets!
I started taking PregmaPlus while trying to conceive. I am now pregnant after the first month of trying! I find the supplement very easy to drink. It has a mild unflavoured milk taste and is not grainy or hard to stomach. I find it helps take that hungry feeling away in the morning before breakfast. Would highly recommend.

Love it with fruit!
I bought it a month or so ago, need to buy more, but it’s a great alternative to tablets and prepping for my next pregnancy.
